Vince Dooley

FOREWARD

By Vince Dooley

There is no other person so singularly identified with the University of Georgia than Vince Dooley. During a quarter century as Georgia's football coach, Dooley led the Bulldogs to 201 victories, the 1980 national championship, and six SEC titles. With his disciplined coaching style and conservative game plans, Dooley introduced Georgia football to the rest of America. Before long, everyone was shouting:
"How 'Bout Them Dawgs!"
